The time spent in every part of this session was exactly right. Enough time to really listen, to go deeper and deeper. I don’t know how long we worked but it was exactly what we needed to do.  Anne is excellent in this role. She is very present, very good at keeping the eyes on the prize, which is to be in the experience. Yes there are emotions that come up a bit and were fine, but it was the bodily sensation and the images that came out that we lived in, and she truly accompanied me through every step, also leaving room for silent works sometimes.  

Working with Anne and doing trauma informed 12 step work at this stage of my recovery has been an amazing process. Allowing feelings of pain and regret from past trauma and resilience has given me a sense of peace, hope and release. I have learned new techniques and application to maintain, embrace and process past experiences that show up as present triggers. 

Coming to realize that trauma and grief are physically stored in my muscles and body and learning how to practice releasing those activations has allowed me the freedom to grow into a more peaceful person, happy and usefully whole.
